Five Creatures That Will Absolutely Kill You

There’s a lot out there that might kill you. These aren’t those. This list is for the things that don’t hesitate, don’t negotiate and don’t stop once they’ve decided you’re part of the problem.

If you encounter one of these, your only job is to get away. Fast.

1. The Hunger (Sometimes Called a Hollow)
At first, it’s only a shadow. But it lingers. The space feels empty. Then you feel noticed. Soon you’ll feel nothing at all. The Hunger consumes presence. Memory. Identity. You’ll fade. From minds. From the world.

Sadly, no one has ever outrun it once it decides to follow.

2. Redcaps
Small. Fast. Covered in blood that isn’t theirs. Redcaps are violent, territorial and love confined spaces. Ruins, tunnels, abandoned buildings—if it feels like a place something bad already happened, assume they’re there.

They don’t hunt for food. They hunt for sport. If you see one, there are more. You’re already surrounded.

3. Mirrorlings
You’ll think it’s you. Same face. Same smile. Same mannerisms. Just slightly wrong. A delay in blinking. A frown that holds too long. A version of you that doesn’t quite understand how you work.

Mirrorlings don’t replace you. They study you. They learn you. They replace you.

4. Bone Choir
It begins with a low, layered sound—like voices speaking just under hearing’s threshold. Like a crowd whispering from inside the walls. The longer you listen, the clearer it gets. That’s how they take you. People who follow the sound are found. Eventually. They’ve been rearranged. As if something practiced on them.

If you hear music where there shouldn’t be any, cover your ears and move. Quickly.

5. Black Dogs (Not the Kind You Pet)
Not every large black dog is a Grim. Some don’t warn. These things move between spaces. Alley to alley. Shadow to shadow. They don’t bark. They don’t growl. They just close distance. If one locks eyes with you, it’s already decided. Running might buy you seconds. Fighting will buy you nothing.

Your only real chance is a barrier it won’t cross. If you don’t have one—sorry.

Why These Five?

Because they won’t stop. They won’t try to scare you away. They won’t make deals. They won’t lose interest. Once you’re in their world, you’re part of it.

And they’re better at it than you are.

TLDR: Some creatures can be avoided, reasoned with or escaped. These aren’t those. If you catch even a glimpse of them, don’t be brave, don’t be curious and don’t hesitate. Run.

Stay sharp. Stay Unveiled.
