Kansas City has never been much of a hot spot for the supernatural, at least as far as the Veiled are concerned. I’ve never understood why considering:
- Ley-Line Convergence: No city on the continent has as many ley-lines converging in one place. The energy here is alive.
- Old Pacts: There are whispers of ancient agreements made between supernatural entities and the indigenous peoples, some even older than that.
- OHR Headquarters: The Office of Hidden Realms chose Kansas City for its headquarters.
But then I thought it through. The Veiled don’t see supernatural activity here because that’s what the OHR wants. Simple.
But you feel it. I feel it. And the OHR definitely knows what’s what. We’re smack dab in the middle of a supernatural caldera that would put Yellowstone to shame. And volatility is rising. Fast. Soon, even the Veiled will feel it.
What’s Changing?
From a growing Unveiled community to a rise in demonic activity, this city is attracting the supernatural… and keeping it. Something has unsettled the balance. More reports of strange occurrences. More sightings of things that shouldn’t be.
Something’s coming.
We know it. The OHR knows it. The only question is… are we ready?
TLDR: A supernatural shitstorm is headed for KC. Might be time to move on to greener pastures.
