Some things slip through the cracks. Things that shouldn’t exist. Things that defy explanation. Every now and then, someone is born who can keep those cracks from getting wider and keep those things in check.
I’m talking about True Saints or as many prefer, Anchorborn.
What Is Anchorborn?
Most Unveiled get by with second sight and an instinct for dodging the worst of the supernatural. But Anchorborn don’t use magic, at least, not actively. They aren’t warlocks, fae-blooded or anything you can categorize neatly. A powerful mage may be able to banish a spirit or bind a demon with a ritual circle.
Spirits and demons flee the moment a True Saint enters the picture. All magic does.
Think of anchorborn as anchor points. Their very existence strengthens the fabric of reality, making it harder for the unnatural to break through. They don’t cast spells or exorcise demons. They simply are.
And somehow, one of them died last week.
What We Know:
- Anchorborn are not just any Unveiled. Long-lived, they don’t just die in their sleep.
- No reports. No obituary. No burial details. No candlelit vigils. No eulogy.
- The Director has taken an extended leave of absence.
- The OHR has gone silent; no official statement. No unofficial one either.
Why This Matters
When a True Saint falls, the things that slither between worlds pay attention.
TLDR: When someone that powerful disappears, something scary will knock on the door. And the OHR has nothing to say.
Stay sharp. Stay Unveiled.
